Explore quantilope’s Mental Health Benefits

Learn about quantilope’s mental health journey, developed with support from quantilope’s leadership board and external mental health coach, Miriam Schwartz.  

 

At quantilope, we believe being a resilient company means that business success and employees' mental health are equally important and mutually dependent. That’s why, in March 2021, we launched an official mental health committee dedicated to investing in training programs and resources to support all employees through a variety of mental health topics. quantilope’s mental health committee is a cross-functional working group open to anyone at quantilope who is interested in ensuring that quantilope creates a working environment that supports the mental health of all employees.

 

In 2021, the mental health committee led seven workshops on topics focused on time management, improving sleep, locus of control, productivity, and a variety of team-specific workshops. Even more recent initiatives include newly established healthy working standards such as meeting guidelines, flexible working hours, unlimited PTO, and an emergency guide for mental health crises.

Together with the committee, quantilope has introduced regular communications sharing mindfulness techniques focused on things such as coping strategies for stress. In addition, quantilope launched an ‘employee health index’ - an anonymous survey measuring the stress levels and mental health of employees. The results (while remaining anonymous) are communicated openly with the entire organization and guide the direction of the committee’s next steps and topics to feature. 


What’s more, quantilope is proud to have our own certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA), who is available to provide immediate support to any employee experiencing a mental health crisis and/or is in need of a confidential conversation. This MHFA Instructor can then guide them to the right professional support they may need.

And there’s more to come!


Beginning next month, quantilope will offer Headspace for free to all employees. We believe that the ability to take breaks, slow down, and being able to practice mindfulness techniques (for those who are interested) is key to a well-balanced mind. Further, quantilope will also train an additional five employees as certified Mental Health First Aiders to provide support across our various offices and business units. Employees will have ongoing access to workshops with Miriam Schwartz and to these additional training resources.

 

Rooted in our ethos, quantilope will continue to ensure support for all employees worldwide, as well as continue to invest in new ways of promoting mental health measures.
